Haha, how long has it been since I left Blogger.... Dayre seems like an alternative but lol, hard to maintain. God knows how long am I gonna stay in Blogger before I go missing again.
I am bored, I am home, I am sick so I am thinking of drafting out a post on the things of why I am both proud and not proud to be a Singaporean! Seems like it is a big hoo-ha out there right now with two sides of people claiming both!
Why am I proud:
1. Singapore is safe! Yes I know, Singapore still has this minority of people doing crimes like stealing, outrage of modesty, killing and all but seriously? Compare us to some other countries like Hong Kong, Bangkok (no offense both countries are beautiful and I love the shopping and food!) they have riots and all. But do we? I don't know but maybe there people who wants to but don't think it is appropriate after the whole Little India thing. Who knows right? But Singapore must have made a stand to crimes and inappropriate behaviour like these that's why we are always at a low crime rate situation!
2. Singapore has the basic necessities! Clean water, clean food, clean road etc etc etc. We are lucky, aren't we? Yes this are basic necessities to be provided across the world but some countries just can't afford them? To us it is a basic but to the third world countries? You can only afford them if you are rich. So considering this, we are quite lucky.
Why am I not proud:
1. Like honestly speaking, I don't like the way they think that whatever they do is right for us and it actually benefits us. NO. Please try to think for us and not your bloody economy. Your people is what makes this country unique, but what is the point when people just keep migrating out of this place and you guys keep hiring foreign talents in? I am not saying it is wrong in bringing in foreign talents. Imagine if the Parliament becomes infested with Foreign Talents one day, is Singapore gonna be gone? I just don't get it, Singaporeans are equally talented as foreign talents. They don't just pop up at your door step and say "Hey! Hire me, I am talented!" and what? You don't just condemn them because "you think that they are better than us." Please try to think.
2. Living expenses in Singapore is too damn high. Admit it, without loans will majority of the Singaporeans be able to get a flat in Singapore? Without loans, will majority of the Singaporeans be able to afford a car without having to worry about the COE bla bla bla. This might sound all nice and sweet when they are making themselves look like that they actually care and they are thinking about a way to solve all these by coming up with loans and whatever. Seriously? I don't think it works.
I am just speaking from my perspective, if you don't agree or don't like it, you have the rights to not be here.
Toodles!
